About the Role
Ensures, with senior level oversight, the effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of large systems software and related infrastructure. Ensures operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
Participate in small to medium-sized project work with senior level oversight.
Obtain specialized external technology training from classroom training, webinars, and/or vendor conferences.
Complete maintenance activity, including patching, health checks, operating system updates, validation of changes and maintenance of operational and configuration standards following standard operating procedures, with direction of more experienced team members.
Participate in after hour support as required for project implementations or to respond to incidents, with senior level oversight.
Update existing procedures with direction of more experienced personnel.
Participate with capacity planning discussions; complete capacity planning reporting following standard operating procedures.
Respond to and resolve incidents based on outcome of previous incidents with senior level oversight. Participate with senior team members with problem-solving of technical incidents based on outcomes of previous incidents.
Participate in vendor discussions.
Create trending information of system issues.
Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Combined minimum of 4 years higher education and/or related work experience.
Experience reading and digesting technical information.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Experience providing updates and statuses.
Experience communicating technical problems.
Strong customer focus, including proven experience managing customer needs and multiple work priorities.
