About the Role
Overview:
Participates and/or provides oversight in development of system test strategies, plans, and designs. Serves as test lead, responsible for various system testing activities including, but not limited to, attending project meetings, reviewing test plan documentation, assisting in creating and executing test cases, tracking defects, and scheduling and facilitating related test sessions and meetings. Provides support and assistance to the Team Lead in creating departmental reporting and attending meetings as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Business Analysts, Developers, business partners and testers to develop effective test strategies and plans.
Communicate the test approach and construct and present test status to stakeholders.
Design and review test cases and condition requisite test data.
Create Quality Assurance traceability matrix, mapping requirements to test cases.
Lead and monitor execution of functional test cases, ensuring test results are appropriately documented.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC0.
Lead defect triage and impact assessment discussions.
Analyze test cases for regression and automation feasibility.
Participate in the project estimation process.
Promote Quality Assurance best practices, standards and processes.
Understand and adhere to the Companys risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Companys Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Required:
Associates degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and a minimum of 3 years application testing experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years application testing experience
