Description:

Our developers are full stack solution creators, ready to build out applications using every tool at their disposal, from JavaScript to REST APIs written in PHP or Node.js to database modeling.  We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with a strong engineering background. Your roles include but are not limited to creating detailed technical specifications, develop and deploy applications, participate in code reviews and module testing, and support ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining web-based systems and other components of the web site and web portals
• Working with internal and external users to develop streamlined, efficient solutions to system and software needs
• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
• Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company
• Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
• Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
• Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions

Qualifications for Software Developer

• 3-5 years of experience developing and implementing software applications
• Experience working on large-scale software projects
• Professional experience using cybersecurity and open source technology
• Knowledge of PHP (or similar programming languages), JavaScript, and relational databases.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential
• Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications
• Analyze code for weaknesses and errors, and present detailed plans to improve them
• Experience developing customized code for multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge of PHP, JSON, XML, SQL, and Javascript and experience with Object Oriented programming is required. The ideal candidate will have experience working in both Windows and GNU/Linux environments. A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.  Candidates should have experience with documenting workflows and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.  They must be detail oriented, have exceptional problem solving skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
